I thought this was an interesting read about Iowa's S&C coach, Chris Doyle, and the approach that they've taken over the last 11 years. I think there's some commonality regarding the cultural change and expectations between the two programs and the role S&C can play.

Wouldn't everybody just be that much further ahead of the power curve if they just enrolled in Tressel's coaching class at OSU? After all, he is the most successful coach in the B10. Imagine what everyone could learn if they just got up early enough on Saturday mornings, listen up, and put into practice what he has to say. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, their own way.

NorCal,

Are you implying that Chris Doyle is somehow affiliated with Ohio State or JT? I don't see the connection.

OR, are you implying that everyone shoud enroll in the JT school of coaching. I wonder if Urban Meyer or Les Miles attended some of those classes. It also seems like Mack Brown and Pete Carroll (though I don't care for Carroll) attended some of the sessions too.

Duuuuhhhhhhhhh...I'm implying that everyone who has a very clear losing record to Tressel ought to take his coaching class, like Ferentz. And the entire Iowa coaching staff while they're at it. It wouldn't hurt for Michigan's staff to come in too. They would definitely benefit from what the guru of Big Ten coaches could show them. Even the part about doing your paperwork and reports right.

You and your falacies. The reports were filled out, it was the QC dept who were not turning them in. Its like if I'm at work and I'm turning in my paperwork to the correct dept but they are not turning that paperwork in to their higher ups. Now my boss is in charge of those whom I turn my paperwork in to but I have no direct authority over them. Am I responsible for making sure they are doing their job or is our boss responsible? Hmmmm???

Love how you always have to turn every conversation around to how OSU owns the B10. Can you not let anyone just have a little glory of their own? Do you have confidence issues? You must since its always about having to be better than everyone else with you.

Amazin' ......nice find. A god S&C program is essential to success n CFB.
