Really sad a kid with that much talent and potential just throws it away. Obviously his heart wasn't in football as his play showed. Now he may not see freedom till he is an old man. The reasoning section of his brain must be very similar to that of Maurice Clarett. Atleast the one year Clarett did play he gave it all he had. For Cissoko no one will ever know and he is most likely now in for a life of prison and poverty. A big drop from having a UM degree and shot at the NFL.

I'm not sad. He knew what he was doing and made stupid decisions. Now he has to pay the price.

It's a shame when any kid is given the chance to suceed that these kids are - and they blow it. This kid went from being a kid many of you thought would be a great cover corner - to jail. This kid is just like Clarett in the sense that he had everything going for him - and he chucked it all for a life of crime. I wonder if many of you will hold RR responsible for this kids actions like you did Tressel. Clarett was many years removed from Ohio State and you still put the blame on Tressel - will you do the same when its one of your own ?

No one blamed Tressel, LOL
I blamed cooper.

Where both these coaches are at fault is playing these kids. They both should have been kicked off a long time ago

I didn't blame Tressel. Mo Clarett had no plans to attend college to begin with. His plan was about himself and using OSU to catapult him to the NFL millions asap. Kid could have been a top five pick and sitting on millions right now and instead will be lucky to find a minimum wage job. I happen to think JT's a darn good coach. He sure has our number. Every coach has his share of riff raff to deal with. The thuggish behavior is part of the territory in a hip hop culture that glorifies drug dealing and criminal behavior. Even with millions the superstars still think they have to prove they are mega tough gangsters and get caught with guns and get arrested. The coaches can't be there to babysit everything.

Why shoud anyone feel sorry for this kid? He was given a full ride to a prestigous university and a chance that many would cut their left nut off to do in playing college football. He chose his path in life and didn't like the fact that it invovled a little hard work and thought choosing a to steal and be a douche bag was easier. Another waste of talent.

What I have very hard time understanding is how kids like this get involved in crime the way that they do -- I don't mean "they" in a pejorative fashion but it seems like a terrible trend. I think there is a romanticization of crime in our country, especially within the "urban" african-american subculture, that even when an individual has attained their goal, NFL stardom like Plexico, for example, they still cannot resist the urge to behave like a thug. Now, Plexico shot himself, and not someone else, but I use him as a prime example of someone that could have hired a body guard if he felt that he needed armed protection instead of carrying a loaded gun in his sweat pants and risking his entire career to put on his "hard" front. I don't know, but I think that Boob might have been acting out of financial necessity -- I don't know how he was earning a living, nor what there is for someone in his position to do in Detroit. All I know is that he is another in a long line of athletes that were there, within reach of something to better their circumstances, only to come crashing down.

I am in no position to even comprehend what someone in his shoes must be going through, nor what he's gone through in his life -- I am a white, upper middle class guy raised by educated and gainfully employed parents. I am not trying to come down on Boob, but neither am I mitigating his personal responsibility in the matter. I am just very sad to hear this news -- I am sad for him, I am sad for the University of Michigan, I am sad for his family, I am sad for the african-american community (if there is such a thing) that is forced to endure another bright star squashed out, and I am sad for our Republic. We have a serious problem in our nation with poverty, drugs, gangs, and the associated criminal activity. I wish there were easy answers, and that people like Boob didn't have to become statistics, nor suffer as he most likely will. But, there aren't, and he will.

Good luck Boob, I hope you get your life back on track someday!

Maybe if the owners of the NBA, NFL and MLB start tossing these guys out on their asses these kids will realize its the wrong path. Then again IMO they are to stupid. When these professionals start getting in serious trouble or kicked out of the leauge then maybe you will see a change. But that does not happen. The owners kiss the asses of these trouble makers and pay them anyway - that is like throwing gas on a fire. Look at what has happened to a Buckeye and Wolverine recruit in the last week alone. I do not feel sorry for them nor do I place the blame on society. They have the ability and resouces to change IF THEY WANT TO. The thing is that they don't want to. They want to be the big thug in the neighborhood - and that only ends badly. These kids have to chance to play football for GREAT universities and get a GREAT education - FOR FREE. With that education they could move to a safe town and raise a family - while being a positive member of society. But that is not cool. Being responsible does not give you street credability or juice. They would rather take the sort cut while thinking the world will continue to kiss their ass and that the rules we all live by do not somehow apply to them. What usually happens is that by the time they realize that is not the way its going to work out - it's to late. It's a shame and I feel bad for them - but I'm not losing any sleep over it.
