Can he learn how to throw the ball this offseason? If he can, I can see him dominate the big ten.
From what I have seen the kid cannot thow the football at all, and with no Wells next year, what is Ohio going to do? I still think RR system would have been better for the kid. He's a great athlete, but as a QB he simply cannot throw the football.

Tressel is on top of the problem. He's teaching the receivers to catch really, really poor passes.

Just talk to NUT (if you can understand him with tressy's wanker in his mouth). Apparently, tressy has informed him that they will divert from the I-formation and use more of the pistol format. NUT is very well informed.

Everyone knows that Pryor has tons of talent. His mechanics are so jacked up right now that he looks tentative and his arm looks weak but it really isn't. Take a look at one of his recruiting videos. When he begins to loosen up and gain more confidence he'll be just fine.

Ever since Sports Science on Discovery Channel stated that a QB can throw to an area the size of an elephant, and a receiver will catch it..... word is Tressel has Pryor practice aiming at an elephant to start things out. The tougher part has been getting the elephant to run routes properly though.

Nice Bigboy.......I'd advise having the athletic supporters pay the elephant just like they do the OSU players.

Don ,how funny is that ,your talking about looking at t,pryor recruiting vidios and the kid just finished his first season as your qb, i think the kid doesnt learn very quick, ,i mean he had the entire season to get better, ,which one is it , terrible coaching ,or terrible student, the kid started 10 games and cant throw, now running is a different animal, but hell he showed the whole nation how good he was running out of bounds , pryor doesnt even know where the hell he is on the field, oh gee we need 8 yards ,so ill run out of bounds 3 yards short, that was a joke ..... And your boy tressticle stood on the sidelines with ,well you know, hook ,line and sinker up his rear...

From what I seen Tate is a better choice for QB. Kid can run and throw. I have not seen where he bitch slap his girlfriend either:eek:

A full season to learn under todd, who was a good enough QB, plus having supposedly one of the "best teams in the whole nation!" play in front of him, and TP still throws like a girl wearing taped glasses and knee high socks. Yeah.. he's a QUICK study. If having the mighty osu line for a full season didn't give him confidence, what makes you think anything he does in the off season will? You get confidence ON the field. He failed miserably in that department.
Go ahead and spin it now.
I am SOO glad he jumped ship now that I see what he plays like at the collegiate level.

Exactly.
No true freshman QB that I can remember has come out and set the world on fire passing. Some RS freshman have, some sophomores have, but no true freshman. Tebow wouldn't have done any better, and IMO worse than Pryor if he had been handed the keys as a true frosh.
Pryor was so inefficient that he led the b10 in passing efficiency, put up decent stats and led his team to another b10 title and BCS bowl. I can't wait to see this kid operate on all cylinders.

Say what you want, you cant honestly say with a straight face that you are not extremely worried about his ability to throw the ball. His mechanics are DII at best, and he lofts it so high and slow. Tate might not tear it up his first few games but he has been a better passer than pryor since he was 16.

Not that I believe Pryor will not be a force to deal with but I find it interesting that Tajh Boyd is seriously considering tOSU.
Ohio State football: Two-QB system enticing to recruit

Tajh Boyd says he has narrowed his choices to OSU, Oregon and Clemson.
Tajh Boyd had prior knowledge Ohio State was going to play two quarterbacks at the same time on some plays in the Fiesta Bowl.
"Coach (Jim) Tressel had told me he was going to do it, but I didn't know exactly what he meant," Boyd said.
Tressel used senior Todd Boeckman and freshman starter Terrelle Pryor to spice up the attack, especially during the fourth-quarter rally before the last-minute, 24-21 loss. Boyd, the highest rated noncommitted quarterback in the 2009 recruiting season, took note.
"Just like in the Chris Leak-Tim Tebow deal when Florida won the national championship two years ago, Tebow went in and did what he could to help the team," Boyd said. "That's because it's all about winning, and that's what Ohio State was trying to do."
It served as another lure for the Buckeyes in trying to attract Boyd, of Hampton, Va., to their bulging yet quarterback-less 2009 recruiting class with national letter of intent signing day just 15 days away. He said he likely is down to three schools, OSU, Oregon and Clemson, which he visited last weekend, and he could make up his mind by the end of the week.
"I don't want to wait too long," Boyd said. "I'm going to talk over everything with my parents, go over the pros and cons of each school and take it from there."
What at first appears to be a con for OSU -- Pryor took over the starting job four games into the season and is likely the man at least the next two seasons -- was softened when Tressel proved he was willing to play two QBs, sometimes even at the same time.
Plus, the Buckeyes only have Pryor and Joe Bauserman returning as scholarship quarterbacks in 2009. That's not lost on Boyd, as he showed when he listed some of the strengths for OSU.
"The academics are real good and there is a lot of support there," Boyd said. "And Ohio State really doesn't have many quarterbacks."
Should he choose Ohio State, he likely would be the immediate third-string quarterback. Oregon seems to have an overload at the position with four returnees, and Clemson has five listed on its roster.
The only promise sought by Boyd -- the throwing/running threat led Phoebus to a state championship and then shared the MVP award in the U.S. Army All-American game on Jan. 3 in San Antonio -- is a chance.
"I just want an opportunity to play early," Boyd said. "That's going to be a big part of it because I feel like I am one of the top players in the country and I really don't want to sit."
Not that he is demanding a starting job.
"I am looking for a school where I can come in and at least get a chance to play," Boyd said. "I know that at Ohio State I am going to get a chance, no matter what kind of plans there are, and that's a big factor."

I don't know, Chad Henne didn't play too bad for a freshman
240 for 399, 2743 yards, 25TD's to 12 INT's

Without Wells i bet teams pack the line this year. I watch a bit more film on Pryor, he cannot throw the football at all. The kid can run, he can run like the wind:)
Stop him from running and you stop him, it's that simple

If you need a second QB to help your starter, you have the wrong QB IMO. When tOSU played a team with talent it showed how the two QB system blows.
I watch it all year in MI, it blows

I don't think it will sit well with TP to be part of a 2 QB system. Remember this guy was the no.1 QB in the class last year and now he may have to split time. He has to big of an ego to be doing that.
I can see Tressell now. Oh it's 3rd and long need to bring in someone who can throw. Yeah right, that won't sit too well with TP.

I think that if Boyd goes there, Boyd starts game two and they move TP to wr. Get him ready for the NFL, as that is probably the position in the pros that he will play.

Not so fast! Tress was ballsy enough to start a true frosh over a 5th year senior who was all big ten the previous year. If it needs to happen it will.

Looks like we'll know tomorrow where Boyd he's going. Interesting that Kettering (Ohio) Alter’s Austin Boucher committed to Miami over the weekend. He was the other QB that had an offer pending if Boyd went elsewhere. Boyd only played 3 games last year due to injury yet he's a top 5 QB.

the experts say oregon or clemson, i cant see why he would go to ohio state, although one expert thought maybe osu, everyone else on all college football predictions say oregon, and the travel or distance is a minor issue. osu has their boy pryor and boyd wants to play right away, besides he fits oregons and clemsons system ,much like t,pryor said last year about ohio state, i want to learn from senior leadership and want to be a qb in the pro game, and oregon runs the same type of offense rr will run at michigan , one thing is for sure ,this kid as a qb is far better then ole t rell, pryor will ever be
