Decent first half, made 5-13 from 3 land. Again no interior defense however. Illinois seems to be hitting everything from outside like Indiana did the other night. Man I hope we are recruiting some big guys that can play next season, we are getting killed on he boards. 31-30 Michigan at half.

Ouch...only 20 points total in the 2nd half. The entire team came out very flat aftyer half time. This was the worst game the team has played all season. Lets hope we do not perform like this Saturday night vs. the Suckeyes. Anyone going to that game, if you see any cars that have OSU license plates you should trash their car just like they do in C-Bus to cars from Michigan. Nah, Michigan fans are to classy for that...
Final score - Illinois 66 Michigan 51

Road wins are tough to come by in the Big Ten, and Illinois is a damn good team, only losses are to us and to 17-0 Clemson. As long as we beat opponents outside RPI Top 50 and at least split games with teams within the Top 50, we'll be fine. But yes, must protect home court advantage.

Illinois and Michigan would be fairly evenly ranked - Michigan's 24/25 in the polls, while Illinois would be ranked 27/28 if the polls extended beyond the top 25.
I think the first half was good, the second - well, poor. I think we started tossing up far too many threes, and didn't find the back door, or work it well to control the tempo of the game.
We need to hold home court, and win a few more on the road.
There's a lot of promise and potential with this team. They need to play 40 hard minutes every time they take the floor.

This year's team isn't going to get every monkey off its back from the past 10-15 years. They've beaten top 5 teams and beat Indiana at home for the 1st time in 15 years - that's about the same amount of time since they've won in Illinois. Maybe next year...

Michigan basketball is only going to improve. As they get more and more recruits in the program, they will really begin to shine.
