Terrelle Pryor came out today to declare that he will remain with the Buckeyes for his Senior season. Something that many of us here have said wouldnt happen(including me). This isnt necessarily an announcement that is earth shattering and normally I would let someone else post this and simply ignore the thread all together but I was a little bit taken back by some of the quotes from Pryor. For example

"I feel like I want to get my degree and finish off strong and maybe have a better season next year with no losses," he said. "I love being here and I need to develop more knowledge as a human being and not worry about money and stuff like that.

How about this doozy:

"My mom works a little bit so I can use some of her money, and the money that we get here," Pryor said, referring to his scholarship and stipends that athletes receive for expenses. "I don't really have to worry. I can suffer another year, I just want to gain more knowledge as a human being before I leave."

I think I just have to develop my brain, develop my mind and the way I'm thinking and how I control situations."

I just dont get it. This kid is 20 years old and he sounds like a 14 year old! I always joked about him being a little slow but I am really beginning to think that he is legitimately mentally challenged. Its either that or retardation of the mouth. Man, I am sooooo glad he is not at Michigan.

Considering the NFL more than likely won't play next year,I see this as something even TP could figure out as a good idea- coming back.

Those degrees in "Undecided" are the envy of all the universities. I found it hilarious that he wanted to have his jersey hung up.. what a conceited little phuck.

he isnt ready for the nfl and he wont win the heisman this year or next , so that means in 2011 he will become the total me guy and piss off every ohio state fan because of throwing int and getting sacked because he will not have a team as good as the past 3 years, ohio state will get beat atleast 3 times in 2011, pryor will try and pad his stats to become the hiesman guy , i got news for him it aint gonna happen, they will lose to wisky ,braska and michigan ,and maybe miami.

I know I speak for most Buckeye fans when I say that I'm happy to have a young man like Pryor, especially in light of all that has surfaced concerning Newton. Wouldn't trade him for anyone.

Go Bucks!

Why would we lose to Michigan and not purdue, or northwestern, or indiana.... because those are Michigans peers in the conference now.

A kid saying he wants to leave a legacy at his school is conceited?

Haters are funny.... but when you're a 6 win team i guess its all you've got.

I just heard on 97.1 in Columbus that Tressel stated if Pryor KEEPS his grades up he can play basketball. Apparently JT didn't get the memo about Pryor's inferior mental capacity.

Why would he want to play basketball? I guess the pro football career is not looking so hot.

Keeps his grades up at what Don, what's his major again? Underwater Basket Weaving hardly counts toward a major.

He's returning to OSU for one simple reason. MONEY. He's blown this year compared to expectations and is projected to go in the 5th round. OSU's been his stepping stone since his EGO graduated 18. If he wasn't an average but overrated player surrounded by a high performing team he probably wouldn't get drafted at all.

your post is dead on for this guy, i dont believe he will even go 5th round , he still doesnt take the ball from under center , he still doesnt react quick enough , and makes many bad reads, surethere is no denying the kid is a stud athlete, but he isnt a stud football player , the boy either gets a whole lot better next season or he better hope his degree from osu can work for him , i really believe he will struggle next year ,because for the first time in his osu career he wont have a really good team around him , they will be a team that loses 3 or 4 games and maybe more , the kid will press to much and make all the same mistakes he did as a freshman except this time the defense wont be there to bail him out.

Oh yeah....so dead on. It's a good thing there is no precedence for this type of thing. Oh wait, I just remembered that I'm not an idiot like you guys. Mike Vick was taken #1 overall and Tim Tebow was taken mid first round. You're both insane/dumb if you think Pryor wouldn't go until the 5th round this year. Don't let your hate and jealousy of Pryor and OSU cloud your judgment.

TP is not even in the same ball park is Tebow, LOL I am talking in the brain area. To be good NFL QB one has to be able to think fast, TP is not there yet as a drop back passer. I do think another year will get him closer and it is a good choice.

Have you seen a copy of Pryor's IQ test and sat it next to Tebow's? Did Tebow have ANY experience as a drop back passer? What about Vick? No. Vick and Tebow were drafted because of their potential and what teams thought they could do in the future. Neither was thought of as a finished product. Anybody who doesn't think the same would hold true for Pryor is completely ignorant.

I'm just glad that dumbass is gonna stay and win a lot more games for the Buckeyes, including another pair against Michigan and a couple more bowls.

Superior mental capacity is needed to play two sports? Or are you saying TP has superior mental capacity because he is KEEPING his grades up? Either way, that's hilarious!

You might be right if it weren't for a guy named Jamrcus Russell, who is the precedent for TP. Tebow and Vick both have intangibles. Vick is extremely elusive and has a cannon for an arm. Tebow has always shined a positive light on any place he has gone. He is a winner and even if he never starts will be an asset to the team. Jamarcus was a physical beast who wasn't too terribly accurate but "had enormous potential" given his size and arm. They ended up reducing the field to quarter reads before finally benching him. TP can't read the back of a cereal box right now and sends way too many balls nose down into the dirt, so he definitely made the right decision.

There is no way TP is drafted any higher than the 4th round or fifth round as a QB. I wouldn't doubt that if teams were told he would never play another position no matter what, he would go undrafted.

why do you post shit like the scarecrow , because you dont have a brain , your suckeyes are certain to get beat by 3 or 4 teams and yes that does include michigan , if you think pryor is going to be someone special in the nfl ,you really are a idiot. look at your 2011 schedule loozer ,miami is going to beat you guys in fla next season and you will get beat in braska and you will lose in aa plus the one sure stumble against someone else you should beat. then pryor will sit in his trailer park home waiting for a phone call from the nfl , i sure as fuc hope he has lots of food because being picked in the 6th or 7th round takes a few days..
