I haven't heard much about Justin Feagan on here but I do remember those sweet youtube highlights from last year that show the kid can play. I have to think with the wide open qb situation we have this kid will have just as good of a chance to earn playing time as threet or a freshmen forcier. I wouldn't count him out and say we only will have one qb who can fit our system. Feagan fits our system and who knows with 2 years of practice under his belt he may very well compete to be the starter. Once thing I remembered liking last year about Feagan is that he did not care whether Pryor chose UM or not. He was willing to come in and compete against anybody. I tend to think that most UM fans on here have written him off already but lets get real he was the only true freshmen qb we had last year and just didn't have the practice under his belt like the others. Talent wise Feagan should be able to beat last years two qb's out this year. Threets arm was his asset but he really throws a wild ball. I once said mallet could not hit a stop sign ten feet away. Threet is not much better.

Feagin will not play qb at UM. If he sees any time on the field, it will be at slot. Slot has some depth too, with T. Rob, Odoms, Gallon, Roy Roundtree.

UM obviously had Tate, Threet, and Sheridan ahead of Feagin at qb. Not to mention UM got a preferred walkon coming in next year as well. Also, UM is in on Stallworth and Robinson, both of whom could play qb or wr. At this point, Feagin is like option #5 or 6. And, 4 of those guys are dual threat guys.

I agree, he will not be a QB at Michigan. I hope that he can get some playing time though. This kid has to great an attitude to keep down.

How these guys coming in our going to play is anybodies guess so I would not be that quick to place them ahead of Feagan. As for Threet and Sheridan I would expect to see their playing time diminish if Feagan or Forcier show they can run the system. I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into the fact that Feagan was beat out last year. He has more potential in this offense than sheridan and threet.

I agree. Great attitude. He looked pretty darn good on his runs that he did have this past year. I'd like to see him get some playing time. We'll see what RR does with him. He seems like a good athlete.

Not to sound repetitive but, Feagin will not play QB at UM. I'm not sure why you have such a mancrush on him. Anyway, go check out some video of Stallworth, Denard Robinson, Nader Furrha (walkon). Feagin has looked tough on his runs, but no one on here knows what any of his throws look like. It has been widely known that he does not have a good arm. Don't you think it's funny we did not see Feagin throw even once this past year?

I would love to see him get 2-3 snaps a game in the "Wildcat" formation this year just to see what happens...

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing him get the ball in that capacity, or as a receiver.

I'd just like to see what Feagin could do since we already know that neither threet or sheridan cannot play qb in this system. The 3 and out offense was just as much a result of having qb's unable to make plays as having an offensive line unable to block. We just flat out wore our defense down because our time of possesion was pathetic.

I think he will see some playing time next year. Maybe in a wildact formation or as a second slot receiver in a 4 man wide to run the spread option with him coming in motion to get the pitch. He is a really good athlete with a great attitude.
There must be a reason he did not throw a pass last year so I don't see him in the QB rotation.

Its got to be a combo of him not being able to throw the ball and not learning the offense like Rich wanted him to. Anytime he did get in there at QB, he ran the exact same play. I am not just saying that either, he took the snap from the gun and ran left/right to try to find the hole. I can only remember 1 play where he broke through to the 2nd level and took it 40 yards against Minnesota. He probably took 15 snaps and not even on 1 did he even look for 1/2 second to throw the ball. Obviously Rich didn't want him attempting to pass the ball. If you can not toss the ball around even just a little bit to open up the defense, you will not play QB...great kid and great attitude, but I agree, he will not play QB.

Feagin most likely wont play over forcier, but i dont think you should completely write him off, he was only a freshman on a shitty offense now that he has a year under his belt he could improve drastically. not saying he will play but he has the upper hand over anyone besides forcier that we may get this year. The only person i would guarantee never sees the field again is sheridan.
