If the CCHA or NCAA doesnt do something major to make a point of not tolerating these actions then they open a can of worms. No doubt for the M players there will be retribution the next time they meet!

You know I blame the Refs as much as the players for what happened. I am a football Ref and one of the important aspects of your job as official is to "if necessary" police the field. Be observant and talk to the players. If you can catch the violent behavior quickly you stand a better chance of cutting it off quicker and maintaining a clean game. The Officials on the ice not only didnt police the ice but as a result of some of their calls or non-calls they aided in creating the volatile atmosphere on the ice

Both those players have been kicked off the team and one of them has been dismissed from the university, and the other one will probably be dismissed soon too.
