Scout/Rivals- Gap in Rankings

Im sure it doesnt mean much...but it still makes me wonder about these rankings...Scout lists most of our recruits as 3*...Rivals lists most as 4*
Most of the other schools are pretty much the same in each set of rankings.

not really, look at MSU. they are something like 15/16 on rivals and something like 30 on scout.

Rivals has a range of ratings for 4*, from 6.0 - 5.8. We have a bunch of 'low' 4*s (Turner, for example, is a high 4* with a rating of 6.0), which could explain why some of them are considered 3*s by Scout. Plus, a lot of it depends on if they actually saw some of these kids in action.

I think its more relevant to look at average *s, or average rating for a class to determine its standing.
