Yeah, that's bullshit. I've got no problem listening to it, but I can't where I am right now, and I was really looking forward to any update you had.

For the people that can't listen at work, here you go guys....

3 visitors this past weekend, Quentin Jones was the only one that Sam 'thinks' will go to Michigan. He has been a soft verbal but the visit was good, Quentin said he 'thinks' he will be at Michigan in June...Other two visitors Austin Dantin (QB) and Terrell Mitchell (TE) don't look very promising...

Willie Haulstead said he's going to sign with FSU but Sam thinks that's going to go down to signing day. Michigan has a strong case for getting him as well. Have to wait and see...

Marcus Hall said Miami is his leader; said Michigan wasn't in the top 3. It was down to tUOS and Miami but apparently Miami is the leader. Sam thinks it's going to be tUOS in the end. They have a strong hold on Glenville...

Sam Montgomery visited LSU this past weekend, Greg Robinson is planning on visiting Montgomery in the next few days...

Bennie Logan, Sam is hearing that he is going to LSU...

Sam thinks out of all the recruits coming in that JT Turner is the most impressive and should see a lot of early planning time. Apparently Florida has been recruiting him hard since Loeffler has arrived in Gainesville but JT told Sam that Michigan is his home.

One of the callers asked Sam about the de-commitment problems and heard that RichRod was forcing recruits to commit early and that's why they were decommiting later on in the recruiting process. Sam denied that and doesn't feel that's the case at all. It's hard to say what really goes on but he brought up Newsome, had they not gotten a commitment from Forcier and Beaver; Newsome may have been in this class. Same thing happened with Dewayne Peace. It happens all over college football, kids decommit for every team...

Of open publication right? I don't understand what the big deal is...You don't have to "pay" to listen to it and guys don't have that access at work. Luckily I do so I'm able to listen to it...

Rockie, Is there something wrong with writing a summary for the guys that can't listen?

I can understand if it was Rivals or Scout or any other subscription site where you need to pay a membership fee to get information but WTKA podcasts are open to the public and I feel bad for the guys on this site that contribute a lot of time and information to be left out...

This site is suppose to be an escape from the everyday work load. It's a wonderful site to be apart of and anytime I can help with information that others can't access without a membership fee, I'm going to help. Just like posting ESPN links on here or CBS Sportsline links. I'm just giving them a summary, I'm sure they can listen to the podcast when they get the availability!

Hope I don't get scolded for posting a summary of an open podcast to help out fellow Michigan Wolverine Fans! :o

Your summary was great, thanks! I understand they want people to go to their site to get the information, but if it is free info then it shouldnt matter if someone sums it up or not, rockie also gives the credit to them so its not like he is stealing it.

Yeah, I don't know what the big deal is. I read what rockie writes all the time because he has good info. But as soon as I get home from work and have time to get on computer I always go to wtka and listen to podcats anyway.

By the way, Bennie Logan committed to LSU today, no surprise.

Also Mike Edwards from Cleveland Glenville committed to Tennessee today.
He had Michigan on his list but was not real interested.

I presume that they are trying to get more people to view their ads, which probably helps fund their site. They also hope that people will click around the site while they are there, further increasing ad revenue.

I enjoy the updates on here as well, but I imagine that in the extreme case they stop posting their content because nobody is bothering to view it on their site - thus no revenue. Perhaps a good compromise would be to follow the link if you are capable/allowed where you are, and otherwise try not to post the entire broadcast word for word. Hopefully that will benefit them by sending more traffic, but will not prevent information from being shared.

That doesn't make sense since Forcier committed AFTER Newsome left. Unless Tate was rumored to wanting the spot and RR relayed the info to Newsome. Pure speculation though.

Also, as far as RR being pressuring kids to commit early, possibly. There is word of that going around mgoblog. I really think it is the way recruiting is evolving. Guys are committing earlier and earlier because they feel they will be left behind if they don't. It's really, really bad for the whole recruiting process, but especially for the Universities, since they get kids who don't want to be there, and they are forced to continue to recruit committed guys. Bottom line, there needs to be some sort of early signing period. That would solve a lot of problems. There wouldn't be this pressure to sign early, but if you are a guy that has known where you want to play since you were a kid, go ahead and sign there. This makes everything official and now the uncommitted guys can see where openings are.

i have read that newsome was aware that Rod was continuing to heavily recruit top QB prospects. i'm thinking he didn't like this too much and so he decommited. it all worked out in the end IMO (although i guess we'll see over the next 4 years) because if we finish with Tate and Denard, we will be looking good in the whole freshman QB situation. Denard seems like more of a natural open-field runner than Beaver, who was more of the pocket scrambler type.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think UM ended up with a better qb in Tate. He seems like he's one of the most ready in this class to come in and start right away. I'm really excited to see what Tate can do, and initial word is that Tate is living up to his reputation.

I just sent Sam an email asking what he thinks of Tate. If he thinks Tate is gonna be a guy that will contribute right away, and if he'll excel. We'll see what he says tomorrow, if anything.

I sent him an email before and they answered it the next day, so that was kinda cool. Hopefully, we'll get some good information about Tate and how he's looking as a qb.

they claimed that when I did these threads, that people were taking them and adding things that were of the paid premium information. Personally, Sam gives you information on the radio, that is yesterday's news on the premium sites. Anyways, I'm gonna go ahead and continue to do these updates around 11am everyday. Basically, they have ask me to stay off Mlive on these internet recruiting roundup
