Well...he's a body. It's tough trying to recruit somebody to play behind Pryor but OSU got it done. I'm excited that they found somebody, especially since he looks like he'll fit within the system.

We land a 3-star qb in one day, not bad. Interesting that Peterson just got his vid, offered and the kid accepted.

He will definitely benefit (physically) from sitting a year and adding some bulk. From a mental standpoint he looks beyond solid. An offer from Northwestern speaks to his brains and that can go a long way on this level. Hopefully he's an athletic, Craig Freaking Krenzel.

He is a warm body that will provide some insurance. Im sure Ohio State will zero in on a 4 or 5 star QB for next years class. I do find it funny how fast Ohio State can find someone when they need to.

Pshaw! Any school can find a 3 star that abso-fucking-lutely no one else offered and get him to commit. Big deal. I sure uos will zero in on a 4 or 5 star but it sure as hell doesn't mean that that 4 or 5 star will be a zero enough to go there.

Finest example of homerism. I'm surprised you didn't roll off a list of 3* recruits who became legends at tUO$, and that, in fact, this might just be THE steal of the recruiting class that will have opponents cringing for the next four years.

I never heard of the guy before today. All I know is that he was muling over offers from Iowa State and Kansas State and a 1AA school. Shit if he was to go to Ann Arbor he might be the starter. You guys had better hope Tate is not a flop because from what I saw last year you got total crap behind him.

I'll take Tate over TP. Let's see who flops first and the worst?
Oops, tp already lost half that.

Possibly the least news worthy thread in the history of this website...

TOO funny how osu fans are like "Yeah look what we can land in 1 day!!" like tressel just realized "oh shit! I need a backup QB!"
LOL

First of all I don't think anybody is EXCITED about this kid. He is also going to be third string. I'm sure the Buckeyes will get an absolute stud next year.

considering the fact pryor throws like shit and teams just load up to stop the run, you get to see your precious team get hoe-handled as you realize how much you need a real QB and lose 4-5 games next season.

is this kid good enough to throw to TP when he's playing WR?

Seems to me that Young could not throw either and teams lines up to stop the run - even Michigan. Nobody stopped him and he won a NC. Wait untill you guys see the WR's that he will have to throw to next year. He will improve and that should scare the hell outta you guys. You could not beat him when he could not throw.

Maybe I should change my screen name from 1osunut to Michigantackleslikeabunchofgirls - then I would be cool.

oh now your comparing prydog to vince young, what a bunch of horse tressel that is, hell you cant compare him with anyone yet, who has he beat that is worth a sshit, he has lost 2 games as a starter and only does good against bad teams, this guy reads defences like shhit, i mean he isnt as good as chad henne was in his first year, especially at throwing the ball. he runs well and passes like a scared puss

TP = vince young.... ??!!?!
LMFAO
too funny.
You bucks' fans are always talking about how much talent Tressel's bringing in year after year. I'll give it to you, there's a lot of talent there at osu.
Even with all that talent....are you getting any better? Nope, cause you can't beat top competition.
but we'll see just how good you are this coming season when that team who embarrased osu last season in LA comes to bucknuts stadium.....or whatever it is that you call it and beats the crap of osu again.

One thing for sure though is that Michigan will not be beating us this year.

Pride goes before a what?
osu is not an elite program....as you already know, I can tell from your response.
One thing for sure though is that Michigan will not be beating us this year.
It may be too much to ask of Michigan to beat the bucks this coming season. We're talking about a re-building program here. but I can say that the program will show significant improvement this year in relation to 2008.
The bucks better start getting ready, for the @ss kicking they're set to sustain early next season, even with your ability to effortlessly pull a commitment in one day, and yes even with all that talent.....this time right inside of bucknuts stadium. I'll be laughing the whole way through.

The best thing that VY had was that not a lot of teams were running the spread option when he was at Texas. Texas was one of the first teams to run that offense and defenses weren't prepared to stop it. 5 years later a lot more teams run it and alot more teams are prepared to stop it.
Pryor and the Buckeyes aren't sneaking up on anybody these days. Teams are going to make Pryor beat them with his arm, something teams didn't make VY do. So Pryor better sharpen his passing skills.
At least he knows he can be a stud WR in the NFL. He reminds me of Plaxico in every way, shape and form.
