Yeah if they could just hit 1 more 3 in regulation that game they take it. What were they, like 4 for 22 or something?

I was glad to see the basketball team stay with Kansas that well.

Two things that stick in my mind from todays game, understand that I didnt see the whole thing, but more than half. 1) Hardaways kid has GREAT lift on his jumper and going to the rim. I think he is going to be great in a couple years. 2) The crowd could help win UM games if they wanted to be a factor. At times in the second half the place was rocking! Fans have to get off their butts cheer because this team is young and would feed off of their energy.

I watched the last 14 minutes(and the Wisconsin game). I too think Hardaway Jr. is gonna be pretty good. He can drive the ball, thankfully. BRICK BRICK BRICK, layup, BRICK BRICK BRICK, layup--- if it wasn't for the drives to the basket, we probably wouldn't have come close. That's what annoys me, they miss like five or six 3 pointers letting the other team get ahead by 8 points, then we still shoot the 3's because we are down.

They hung with Wisconsin for quite a bit of the game, then in the 2nd half we went on a dry spell for about 7 minutes straight---of bricked 3's.

This team should be good in time, hopefully.

Unfortunately that is how this team has been built. In order for it to succeed it has to shoot alot of 3s because of their lack of explosive players either in the post or guards who are a threat to blow by their man to the hole. I think the pt. guard (name excapes me) and Hardaway are really the only 2 who are capable of consistantly getting by their man off the bounce. This team is not athletic enough, it needs to recruit size and athletes if they want to beat MSU, osu, Purdue, and Wisconsin.

Thats only ever going to happen when a crowd actually begins to show up. One thing the cameras never really show you is just how empty the arena really is. The students always come out en masse and do a great job of supporting the team but the everyday fan never seems to care all that much for Michigan basketball. Its crap too because its an accessible arena and the tickets are cheap! If I lived close enough I would be at games all the time.

Unfortunately I'm up real late...

I don't give a fok what this team was built for...

You don't sit there and bust off a 3 when you have a .12 chance of making it-- A.K.A running at 3/4 full speed, off balance---when you are up 5-6 points. Sorry---maybe I am a laptop coach, but that's BS.

Seriously, this team looks overly excited--- NOT complaining too much, cuz I would be beyond that. But darn they look like if everything pulled together..even around 80% of what it should, that they could hang with most teams..

Im telling you that JB has an offense built around 3 point shooting, backdoor cuts, and a big man that can go out to the perimeter and be a threat. In order for his system to work they have to keep shooting 3s in order to open up gaps and spacing. I know (as does JB) that they have struggled with their shooting. Like it or not this is who they are and they arent going to change anytime soon. When you recruit a specific type of B-Ball player it is hard to change who they are. Thats why they have to recuit more athletic players like Hardaway.
