this is based on if michigan is in the tourney in which most of us believe they are, i think they have enough weapons to make it to the sweet 16 but that would be it.., only if they are making the 3ball on a consistant basis.

I think it will be the same as the last time. They will make the second round and be beaten. The team has some nice talent but is still young and has some learning to do.

As long as they remain hot they have a shot to get to the sweet 16 but my guess is since they are a bubble team they will not receive a favorable seeding and will likely be 1 and out.

MI is a scary team to play in NCAA, they can beat anybody on any night. If they shoot well, I can see them pulling off an upset or two. The issue is shooting, if they hit their shots. They are tough to beat. If Smotrz starts to play well, look out.
No team is better at the high pick and roll then MI right now.
I can see this team making a run!!!!

I totally agree - the fact that they are on the verge of an NCAA tourney is amazing, given that this is the youngest team within the BCS conferences! If Beilein can keep Hardaway, Morris, and Morgan together for a few years, the future looks extremely bright.

Michigan Man,
That is the problem. With the way the rules are in basketball many of these kids are gone after one or two years. You can bet damn well people are already chirping in Hardaway's ear about leaving - I think it sucks. I would love the rules to be equal in basketball and football - you can leave after your Junior year. Im sure Ohio State will lose a player or two this year - if they don't they will be very good next year as well but will be lacking that ever so important Senior leadership. If you don't think Diebler, Lighty and Lauderdale are the main reasons why this team is #1 in the nation your crazy.
Michigan has proven on several occasions that they can play with anybody - when the outside shot is falling and they play smart as a team. The problem is that Michigan is a much different team on th road then they are at home. How will they play on a neutral site against a fairly high seed ? I think Michigan has played very good down the stretch - they actually played themself back in after being out and almost left for dead. I still question if they have the size to bang with the teams that want to slow up the game and bang. I can name a lot of teams that teams will want to play instead of Michigan though. This year is anybodys game. If Butler could make it to the finals last year - anyone can this year.

This will be a tough tourney - simply because of the potential seeding. IF the team gets hot - IF they hit their shots - they could win two (assuming they aren't one of the last four seeds and will need a "play-in" game to make the 64).
So, a win in round one would be good - a win in the second round would be great - getting to the Elite Eight is at least a year away for this team - their youth and lack of tournament expertise will be the challenge they face and need to overcome.

I can tell nut has not watch Michigan lately. While they do not have the traditional inside game. They have develope a very nice inside game for them. Then can now play with teams if their shot is not "on", becasue in these last 10 games the shot has not been there for them.

Swoosh,
Again - I've got to point something out - just look at Michigan's record over the last 11 games - what is it? You know, they're hobbling into the conference tournament and really don't have much momentum nor have they developed and matured over the second half of the season. Like I said - look at their record. What is it? Oh, silly me, it's 8-3.
Well then, let's see what those games were like.
You have to look at their recent losses - I mean they've been getting blown out. Just look at the amounts they've lost those games by. Their last two losses were by a total of three points combined! Three points - see, they've been getting blown off the floor. That's two games they lost - Wisconsin on a buzzer beater - losing by one, and the Illinois game in Champaign - losing by two.
So - let's think about this - and 8-3 record to end the regular season, with the two most recent losses by a total of 3 points combined. Hmmm.. maybe they can play on the bigger stage.
Go Blue - take it to Illinois today...
