Shonn Greene was a 2 star recruit.

Get as excited as you want about your recruiting class, Iowa will always do better with under the radar players you over looked while chasing the hype.

So you're saying Michigan is better than Iowa at getting talent? You are correct!

Also, how many 2 star recruits become stars compared to 4 or 5 star recruits?

Look at any of the NC winners. Say what you want about underrated 2/3 stars, but nobody wins big and stays big without the 4/5 stars.

Actually Rivals has him as a three-star. Micah Hyde, who is a two-star from Fostoria, is gonna be good in about three or four years for Iowa. I would say if they redshirt him and than break him in a few years, by his senior year and fifth year, he could be someone to reckon with

Hawks:

There are always kids who either through hard work, because of a system or because they were incorrectly ranked - prove people wrong. I could name you a list of Buckeyes that ended up great and they were 3 stars or lower. If you follow the law of averages its pretty common that the teams with the best recruits win the most games and stay ranked in the Top 25.

Great post Nut. I agree 100 percent. Alot of times the lesser knowns will work alot harder and can be coached. Iowa has no choice but to develope lesser knowns and judging by last season they do a heck of a job at it.
