Who the hell scheduled the #1 team between PSU and MSU games???
Anyways, Go Blue! Big question is how well will we guard 7'3" Thabeet today?

i just don't see us winning this game, i think we will be lucky to stay within 15 at the end of the game. i have watched Uconn play several times, including when they ended ND's home win streak.
if we did win this i don't see how we wouldn't get into the tournament, but as i said, i would bet the family farm on UConn.

It's gonna be tough to guard Thabeet today. But UConn did lose to a currently 13-9 Georgetown team at home earlier this year.

Michigan is keeping up with UConn to start the game.

Up by 1 at half. The only other time UConn has been losing at half this season is to Georgetown...who beat them.

Hope they can keep it up. They are doing well.

Yeah, not much room for error here, esp with Thabeet, we have nothing on him :(.

It's over. Lost by 8. I'm pleased with the performance today, and they showed that they can hang with anyone. I just wish the team we saw today would show up to every game they play, not just the big ones.

My thoughts exactly, if we played like we did tonight in every other game, we would be 20-4 instead of 15-9. Oh well, great effort by our boys tonight, now we need to get back to the Big 10 and take care of business.

We pretty much lost to Thabeet all by himself, but it makes me excited when we finally have a bigger team in the years to come!! Great effort!

That is how we have lost most of our games. We don't have a solid bigman, Sims is 6'8". We have been picked apart by the 7" guys. I am impressed with how they played though. They did an excellent job.

this team needs to make the tourney. they are deserving and they could do some damage if they get hot. the committee likes to reward teams that schedule tough games....duke, ucla, & uconn....& you go 2-1 and give uconn a run for their money on their own court? they're deserving.

2-2 actually - we played Duke twice. We need a winning record in Big Ten play - at .500 we are a bubble.

I watched a little bit of the UM/Uconn game and I was pretty impressed by what I saw. Uconn is a good team (I used to live in Connecticut so I still pay a little attention to them). Thabeet is a beast though, some of those blocks...wow. Lookin' forward to Tuesday!

Michigan will be on the outside looking in by years end. expect a NIT bid. Close does not cut it - you need wins. Moral victories will not get you into the big dance.

Competing the whole game against #1 when most were saying we didn't have a chance against them IS a step forward.
Once we are able to compete at that level consistently, which doesn't appear to be too far off, at least half of our losses turn into wins.
I'm just glad to see competition against top teams again in basketball. It was only a matter of time!

Anytime you can hang like that with walk-ons, underclassmen and 2-3* players....man, it'll be great with Morris and Cronin next year!
On another note, this team does somehow play better without LLP, not sure why.

Buffalo played UConn down to the wire too. I don't think you can derive much from one game. Especially following a huge road win against one of the hottest teams in the country. UConn was off, but they still displayed some of what is going to make them a very tough contender in March.
I think what makes UConn dangerous in the postseason is Thabeet's defensive presence. He forces teams by himself to stay on the perimeter and beat UConn by shooting the ball. At the collegiate level, they're simply aren't many teams that can do that.

Take comfort hail2, if you can make the tourney, all you need is a team that shows up for the big ones. It was a good effort....I was impressed with the progress your team has made.
