I'm watching the second round of the US Open - and Rory McIlroy is playing some very solid golf.
I like him - he had a bad fourth round at Augusta this year, but he's someone I would have no problems with if he won.
Any thoughts?

Love the kid. His play today was awesome. Can't wait for tomorrow, good drama if he starts with a bogey, but I hope he hits it down the middle and sails to a record win.

TIGER WHO..... great to see so many great young players... this guy could shoot 76 and still win by a few strokes

Exactly! The game is looking good with the young guns out there.

The way he played the US Open looked like the Tiger of old. He broke 12 records this weekend. I do think the course was a little more tame than in the past opens.

I agree that the weather - particularly the rain - softened Congressional and made it easier to play. However, no one remembers that Tiger was able to get through Pebble in 2000 with similar "great weather conditions" during his first two rounds - which certainly contributed to his lead and eventual victory.
Congrats Rory... see you in a few weeks at Royal St. George's. I hope you bring your "A" game...
