My wife and I were in Lansing for a wedding this weekend, We drove thru Ann Arbor on the way home.

The campus looks huge. Is the section where Angel hall the oldest part of campus? Very beautiful old buildings around there. What is the Rock? It was on the map, We drove past it looking around, Looks like a rock people paint?

How long has the football stadium been covered on the outside with brick? It didnt look like a football stadium on the outside. Where do people park on gamedays? It didnt look like there were many lots around there?

Voleye,

Glad you finally got through Ann Arbor - you should have stepped out of the car (if you didn't) and walked around - it's a fantastic town, especially (IMO) in the fall.

The oldest part of the campus is near Angell Hall - that is Central Campus and behind Angell Hall is the Diag (or Diagonal) which is the walking path for students between buildings.

The Rock is something that people paint. Sororities and Fraternities will paint it - as will people from "opposing schools" during football season (schools such as Michigan State).

As for parking on football Saturdays - people will park in many places - near Central Campus and walk the mile or so to Michigan Stadium, the Michigan Golf Course is used for parking, and all kinds of homes nearby offer their driveways / lawns for a small fee.
