This is one of the very rare times I'll say the following: Good Luck Party - win on Saturday.
He meant to say Good Luck Sparty.
Michigan State is a good team, no doubt, but they aren't some immovable force. They have their weaknesses too. Notre Dame certainly found them and while Notre Dame may have the edge on offense right now, I'm certain that Ohio State's defense is better than ND's. MSU only scored 13 points on them. Not good.
MSU has a decimated OL. If they can't run to set up Cousins, they will struggle. Couple that with the game being in Columbus and the fans standing behind Braxton...
This is a winnable game.

If a bad team like Notre Dame can beat Michigan State - so can Ohio State. The question is what are Michigan fans going to say when the same MSU team that lost to ND (a team Michigan beat with luck) - beat Michigan for a third stright year.

You really think that ND is a "bad" team? Overhyped, yes...but bad?!? C'mon, Nut at least show a little bit of that football knowledge that you claim to possess and be honest. Everytime Michigan beats a team you claim they're "bad".
I'll bet that ND wins the rest of their games this season and is considered the "best 2 loss team in the nation." ND had a very good offense centered around one of the nation's best WR's in Floyd, a good RB in Wood, and a very good defense that shut Michigan down for 3 qtrs. ND is ND's worst enemy, and would be undefeated and in the top 10 if they hadn't shot themselves in the foot versu SFU and Michigan.
Michigan didn't get lucky Nut, they were there to accept the gifts that ND gave them -- good defenses are opportunistic. Losers blame luck when things don't go their way. Winners make their own luck.

Sten,
Your comment regarding defenses being opportunistic is exactly what Mattison has the D focusing on. It's one thing if the opponent's Offense fumbles - it's another to ensure there's a presence and awareness of the D to recover the fumble. Mattison has the D focusing on pursuit - playing with high motor - and getting to the play / tackle / ball.
ND fumbled - Michigan's D was in pursuit and in position to recover. Was it lucky? You can certainly say Michigan was. Was it opportunistic? Definitely - being in the right place and capitalizing on the opportunities - quick change situations - is a major element of the game.
I do think ND will win a lot this season - I'm not sure about the Stanford game, though. I think all of ND's games until then are definitely winnable - and they should be favored in most (if not all) of them. However, Stanford will be a solid test for ND - and, I'd pick Stanford to win that game - it's in Palo Alto.
But - this thread is about MSU and tUOS - it will be very interesting to see what Sparty brings out. I think the Spartan D will hold Miller & the offense in check. The Spartan O will be the question mark. If Sparty wins - I wonder what accolades the Buckeye faithful will place on MSU and how strong their team is. I'm sure it will be - "MSU was lucky, tUOS would win that game 9 out of 10 times. ND wouldn't stand a chance against the Buckeyes."
I'm looking forward to tUOS' visit to Lincoln the following week. That should be a fun game to predict as well.
Go Green... Go White... (just for this Saturday)

Really ND is a good team ? The same ND that had 10 turnovers in 3 games and gave up those lame ass passes to DR and Michigan in the forth quarter. Notre Dame will not win their remaining games and finish as the best two loss team in the nation - fat chance. I here to say that Ohio State with all there trouble will finish with a better record then Michigan - and beat them again. Michigan has yet to play a team with a solid defense - that will change. Once that happens we will see how the 84th ranked passer in the nation does when paired with a defense that still cannot cover anybody.

Nut,
Let's see if you're man enough to stand behind your words. If OSU finishes the season with a better record than Michigan - I will leave this site permanently.
If Michigan finishes the season with a better record than OSU - you leave permanently.
The "departure" will be effective one week after the BCS Championship game in January 2012.
Will you accept this wager?

mgoblue,
The only way he replies is if Michigan loses today and OSU wins - and he thinks he might be able to win. I know his personality - he "talks, but won't back it up with any action."
I can respect a different opinion - from a Michigan fan or an OSU fan - for instance Welding Engineer seems to be a Buckeye fan to actually knows something about football.
Nut goes back on my ignore list...

mgoblue,
I know he's not taking it now - I actually never thought he'd have the balls to take it in the first place.
I'm just thinking about ND. First, ND is a mediocre team (according to many, not all, Buckeye fans). Michigan lucks out beating them (and, I do think Michigan was VERY opportunitistic in the game - sort of, making our own luck). Then ND handles Michigan State easily. Then Michigan State handles tUOS easily IN THE SHOE.
Michigan > ND > MSU > tUOS
There's no doubt - tUOS is going to win the division, possibly the B1G, and should be a national title contender - oops, I meant PREtender.
