Tate looking light years ahead of Threet and Sheridan, in passing drills (7 on 7), but he is having a hard time picking up the play book.

Physically or mentally? What's the word on what the coaches think? At least he's got 5 or 6 months to study it and hopefully get it down.

I think he'll be fine -- can't be any worse than last year!

I'm so glad he enrolled early. It's nice to hear about the passing drills.

I'm sure he at least knows the 5 plays UM ran last year. So, he's still ahead of Threet/Sheridan, but that playbook is big. Execution. Even if they only have 10 plays, they can still put up lots of points if they execute well.

FWIW, That was on Rivals chat last night and it meant that Tate was having a hard time with the play book mentally because coaches can't coach during seven on seven drills. But guys, don't worry, he has spring practice and he is already light years ahead of the guys last year

Yeah, coaches can watch film with him but can't be on the field, where the players have to help him out. We'll get a better idea of his grasp of the playbook once the coaches hit the field.

But hey, kid can already throw, that is like light years better than last year already.

Most QB's look good during 7 on 7 drills. There is no pass rush or pressure - and there is always somebody open.

you have some real obvious issues man, maybe you should save some of that unemployment check and get yourself into some therapy. Tate will be better than anything we had last year by far, better oline play they can rely more on the running backs, we will be fine.

Im not so sure Pryor looks very good in 7-on-7.

It's not just looking good in drills, it's looking good while being measured against what went on last year at this time.

Now Prior, Pryor, or whatever his name is....you know he has no accuracy. He has to get outside the pocket in order to make plays.....throwing against the grain, and off his back leg. That's sandlot football....Pryor's a running back that can chuck the ball a bit.

and you keep talking, but check this out.....Pryor and the bucknuts as a team will get exploited and exposed early in season. So you'll get a chance to see just how good your team is. I don't think the bucknuts are any good, with Pryor throwing hail marry passes to receivers running crossing patterns, and everything.

You need to worry about that bucknut qb, not Forcier.

Sheridan didn't look good last year on seven on seven drills and Threet looked ok. In fact, after spring practice, RR told one of the postion coaches, this could be a long first season

Feagin is in the slot.

Brown will see a bunch of touches this year. Him and Minor will be a good one, two punch. And you've got Shaw, and the three incoming freshmen. Man, RR's got a stable full of backs now. A couple of those freshmen will redshirt though.
