Oh my god. If anyone else is watching the Wings right now, Marian Hossa just went head first into the boards against the Blues and was carried out on a stretcher. He just missed a few games due to a injured neck, and that is what the injury looks like again. Very scary.

Well he did wave, so that's a OK sign. Still very scary.

Wow. Great goal by Kopecky! Who knew I'd be this excited about a St. Louis Blues game.

I was at the Pistons game but I found out about this when I got home. From what I read he got checked and then slid into the boards. According to ESPN though, he's just being held overnight for observation. So that's a good sign. The stretcher is just a precaution so that in case there was a neck injury, the transport to the hospital won't aggravate the injury.

Damn, now he probably won't be playing when I go to the game Saturday. And GoGreen23, are the Pistons back? 3 straight with Hamilton starting has to be a good sign.

Actually hossa is traveling to Colorado for the next game, and expects to be cleared to play.

They are starting to look more like their old selves. It was a pretty exciting game, they got down by 10 early in the 3rd but they managed to get a lot of quality stops with some D that's been sorely missing in some of our games recently. It also did look like Hamilton is stepping up to be a team leader, which is also something we've been missing. It was nice to see Billups out there again too, he scored like 32 points on us. It was cool though when they announced Denver's starters and he came out, everyone in the Palace was cheering for him.
And that's good news about Hossa, bigboyBlue, we need a threat like him out there on the ice every game.

Looks like they sure could have used him last night. Losing 8-2 at home is pathetic and they should have known Columbus always plays them tough. That's two games in a week of giving up 8 goals... awful. Plus, if the standings don't change and they get 2nd and Columbus gets 7th they will play in the first round of the playoffs. That would be a tough draw.

I don't know if they can win it all this year with the goaltending they have. Osgood, should be Osbad, and Conklin have not been good this year.

I think they can still win the Cup this year because I've seen them turn it on and they still look damn good. The goaltending doesn't need to be amazing because we will usually put alot more shots up than our opponents. I wouldn't say the goaltending was much better last year, only more consistent.
