Four-Star OL Marcus Hall of Cleveland Glenville along with teamate three star cornerback Mike Edwards, will be in Michigan for the Jan. 16 weekend. O$U probably leads for both of them, but anything can happen. But we are talking about Glenville, Mr. Ginn hates Michigan and is on Tre$$el paid recruiting staff!
Jelani Jenkins, the Five-Star LB, has been rumored to have trimmed his list and start announcing visit, he has yet to do that according to Sam.
Bryce Mcneal, the four-star wr out of Minnesota, has cancelled some visits, Michigan continues to recruit him, and there is a very good chance he will recommitt at the Army All American Game, on Jan 3.
Jeron Stokes, the Four-star wr out of Philly, has cancelled his visit and it appears he is sticking with his Tennessee committment. Still, the four-star wr Jamal Patterson, from Georgia, the Stanford committment, will be in this weekend. Finally, I didn't hear it, but someone on Mlive is reporting that Sam said in the show today, that he has a strong gut feeling, that Big Will Campbell is going to go to Michigan. The last time he said that, Emilian had told him two weeks prior to his announcement, that he was going to Michigan. So will see. Donavan Tate, four-star Ath committed to North Carolina, and will not be coming this weekend.
Basketball recruiting his really heating up with underclassman, Five-star PG Brendan Kerney, of Detroit Southeastern, will be in this weekend along with his teamate four-star PF Percy Gibson. Both are 2011 Graduates, that Michigan has a real good chance of landing. You add in that Zigler, Skyes (whom some has said is the best in the state in 2010), Reagan, Will Gauana (considered a MSU Lean) and Four-star 2009 Graduate, 7'0 Center Deshanta Riley, will be in for this weekends games.

Well it looks like Je'Ron Stokes is not interested in Michigan after canceling his official visit which was scheduled for this weekend. Reports say that after having spoke with new Tennessee Coach, Lane Kiffin, Stokes is most likely going to stay with the Vols.
Jelani Jenkins has begun to set visits and will be visiting Florida on Dec. 12th. He has said that he is planning on visiting Michigan, Illinois, and Penn State as well. The last visit will be open for Notre Dame or USC most likely. From what is being said Penn State was supposedly the front runner for Jenkins, but Florida is looking like the team to beat with Michigan definitely having a shot pursuading him to Ann Arbor!
Dennis Thames still has Michigan in his top 3 along with Ole Miss and Miss. State. He also holds offers from Auburn and Alabama. He is not taking any visits until January because of his focus on his high school season. He seems to be interested in staying in state, but is just looking for what will be the best fit for him. He said this about Michigan: "I went up there and absolutely fell in love with it. But, I it a long way from home." So we will see how that plays out later on down the road cause Michigan is where his mom and uncle are pushing for him to committ to.
Lastly, our recruiting class in Florida is being considered the BEST EVER! Not only do we have 6 total committments from 1 of 3 talent rich states, but 3 of those committments are listed in Florida's top 100. #30 Jeremy Gallon, #56 Vladimir Emilein, and #66 Mike Jones. Only WVU has more of Floridas top 100 committed with 4. The big thing is these kids will be able to come in and quite possible contribute immediately! Reporters for FlaVarsity.com have said that to see that many kids from FL go to one school cause it isn't like Michigan is right down the road and it is a climate shock. They also say that they are extremely impressed with the quality of players although they may have not received offers from the Big 3 ( UF, FL State, and Miami). Here is a direct quote from FlaVarsity.com Publisher Michael Langston: "I know there are some people that will look at Michigan's haul and say Florida, Florida State and Miami didn't offer them, but I think that could be their mistake. Every one of these kids can get there [U-M] and play a key role either next season or down the road."
So kudos once again to RR and staff for a job well done, also for the job they will continue to do!

Thats the first I've heard of McNeal still being interested, word everywhere is the disinterest has been pretty mutual. Where are you getting this?

Sam on "Recruiting Roundup" said that McNeal was looking at Oklahoma, Colorado, Minnesota, Penn State and Michigan. Sam said that he could see a "remarriage" with Michigan happening at the Army All Star Game but we'd have to wait and see how things play out.
I hope Bryce recommits. I think kids are seeing that Michigan is moving in the right direction and getting the players they need to be a powerhouse.

So if we were to get Campbell, McNeal, and Lewan would everyone think this was a successful class? shoot, throw in Jelani Jenkins and we could be looking at top 3...

I think Campbell and Lewan are good shots and McNeal and Jenkins one notch lower. I think Jenkins will end up at PSU (linebacker U) but he loves Barwis and wants to go into his field for a living so who knows?

It would be awesome to get all four, but I don't think that is likely.

Bryce McNeal apparently called the staff to congratulate them after the Minnesota game. What else was said during that convo is a mystery, but some people have said he might want to recommit. It doesn't make much sense since he was 150% Michigan, then decommitted and completely dropped us from his list, and now he might recommit?

Did he say, "strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong gut feeling." If so, we're good.

I don't care why he comes to Michigan as long as he plays ball and crushes whomever he goes against.

i watched jelani jenkins on youtube and he's a freaking ANIMAL. i really hope the coaching staff pushes for him because he's a run stuffing machine. I'd like to see Terrel Pryor try to stiff arm Jenkins, Jelani would rip his arm off and use it for a chew toy.

On today's recruiting roundup Sam was talking of the possibility of SC DE Sam Montgomery coming to Michigan, and also the JuCo DE guy out of Mississippi. It sounds like LSU might have a slight lead on Montgomery but we are supposed to get a visit in January from him. The JuCo guy I guess went to Pohakee High School like several of our recruits and is related to Hawthorne so this bodes well for us.

Good deal! I didn't know of Pernell until a couple of days ago. Sam says that there are several SEC schools after him as well.
I think this is the big weekend where many recuits are visiting isn't it?

Yes, it was. That place had to be rocking and impressive for both the basketball and football recruits.
