I can't believe this game! I don't know whether to blame Hogan or to blame the team as a whole. 27 shots on goal and 0 goals compared to 8 shots on for 2 goals

Un effing believable!!! How do you outshoot your opponent 3-fold, win 65% of the face offs and NOT BE UP BY AT LEAST 10 GOALS??

Can't believe they lost! Hogan have up 1 bad goal but otherwise I can't blame him. Poor defense and offense. I thought early on M played hard but they just couldn't catch a break

That was how the entire game went today. Shots, powerplays, faceoffs, ect. They had no breaks.

After that wide open shot bounced off the post late in the 3rd I knew that there was no way M was goin to win

1. Air Force has a hockey team.
2. Air Force has a hockey team?
3. Air Force has a hockey team!

In other news, UM Hockey is looking forward to a well earned break. The Kampfer family will be enjoying a group anti-aggression retreat. Wow... just wow.

His lack of knowledge of hockey is probably only rivaled by his ignorance of basketball and football. There is a reason he dropped out of UM.

CHOKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did that loss taste ? I did not know they even had a hockey team at Air Force. So much for being the #1 seed. Let's see if Ohio State can do better - even though they are playing the #1 team in the nation. I much rather lose to the #1 overall team then f'in Air Force. Now the hockey program can be a joke just like the basketball and football team.

In the basketball tourney, you said Ohio St. beat Michigan in both regular season games, so Michigan fans didn't have the right to talk about Ohio St. choking. Well you're doing the exact same thing here, but in hockey dumbass. Michigan beat Ohio St. in the season series. Hypocrite.

When you become a fan of a school that has a real hockey team then you can speak up about hockey. Until then sit on the bench!

Again, if you know ANYTHING about hockey, its that anything can happen in a single game, hence the reason single game elimination hockey sucks. ND was a #4 and played for the NC last year. Negative rep for ignorant trolling.

First, the win or go home format is not good for college hockey. All year long they play two games in a row on a weekend against the same team. Now, when it's crunch time, it's dropped down to just one game. It should be a best of three series.

Secondly, the goalie for Air Force has a ridiculous streak going of not allowing a goal. A hot goalie can do some damage in the Stanley Cup playoffs, in college hockey it can be an automatic trophy.

OSU fans need to shut up about this one.

Single game elimination is bad at any level of hockey. One game is not enough. Just look at Denver, another 1 seed, lost and now they are out too.

Funny how I said the NCAA tourney is nothing more then a single elimination contest - and anything can happen. At least the Buckeyes lost in a 8 vs 9 match-up. The Wolverines were a 1 seed. Its funny how you guys see things one way when it pertains to OSU - yet your outlook is different when the same thing happens to your beloved Wolverines.

I said the same thing when Ohio State had a bad showing at the Big Ten wrestling tournament. All I heard was how Ohio State was overated and how they choked. Then they came back two weeks later and come one win away from a national championship. Maybe Ohio State can save the Big Tens image in hockey this year.

Now you're comparing hockey and basketball? Are you really that ignorant of the differences between these two sports, or just saying it to annoy us? Likely both.

The same thing happens on both sides so sit your righteous hide down. You guys deride RR all the time and the very same arguements you make fit Matta as well.

On the other hand it shows your small understanding of hockey. Yes in basketball upsets are bound to happen but you never see a #1 seed get bounced (in the first round) and rarely does anyone below a 4 seed make the Final 4.
In hockey if a team has an exceptionally hot goalie they can do allot of damage and thats what happened this playoffs as well.

Out of the games played so far both #1 seeds lost, a #2 seed lost and another #2 seed need two last second goals to force OT and an eventual win. How often do you see that in the first round of basketball? This is typical for hockey in that every team that makes the tourney has a legitimate chance to make the Frozen Four. What you cannot argue here is UM's historical ranking in hockey.

Notre Dame, perhaps the top team, lost to Bemidji St today. Bemidji St was 18-15-1 this year. The better team definitely lost that game too. This just shows once again that single elimination in hockey playoffs is terrible. 3 of the 4 #1 seeds lost in first round. There is something obviously wrong with the system if that happens.

Also, 8-3 Boston University over Ohio St.:D

At least one CCHA team makes the frozen four. Miami looked really good in the two games this weekend! I agree its hard for hockey to have a one and done playoff. It would be more fair to be best of 3. BUt that adds a lot more time on to the playoffs.

8-3 Boston University over tUOS. Must be humiliating for you. Talk about Choke

To answer your question, no tUOS cannot do better, allowing 8 goals is disgraceful, and your hockey team with no absolutely no history of accomplishment continues to dwell in sub-mediocrity. You fail.

The Big 10? Are you sure about that Nut? Would you like to amend your statement?

Thanks again for showing everyone in here what utter brainless moronic troll you really are! You didn't come in here to talk hockey, you can came in here to rub salt in our wounds and talk trash because Michigan lost. Hell, you think that Michigan and OSU play in the Big 10 Hockey Conference -- how can we take anything you say seriously?

They both, along with ND and Miami (OH) play in the CCHA, the Central Collegiate Hockey Association you dip shit!

If you show your ass enough Nut, people are going to think you're a baboon -- which is definitely a step up from what they think of you now!

I guess Boston showed why they are #1. I did not watch enough hockey this year at all. It's not one of my favorite sports - as many of you know. Boston was a few great stops away from scoring 12 or 13 goals. It was a royal ass kicking.

I dont have a real problem with single elimination hockey. The fact is that Michigan shouldnt have lost. Michigan has multiple 1st round NHL draft picks and they lose to a team that has only a few NHL caliber players on the whole roster! Volkaning played like a man possessed and M did not play a very good game at all but I dont really think that a 3 game series would have effected much. I might be wrong though

Again you show how little you know or you would know that ND is #1 until the tourny is over. The top 4 in order where ND, Boston, UM and Denver. 3 of those teams lost and I'm willing to bet that had any of those 3 played OSU they would have won.

Umm, you forgot to add the rest:

-3 #1 seeds are out.
-3 #2 seeds are out.
-The only remaining #2 was down 4-2 with 40 seconds left in regulation. They scored with .8 seconds left to send the game into overtime.
-That wasn't even the latest a goal was scored to send a game to OT as UNH popped one in against North Dakota with .1 second left and won in OT.
-Cornell scored with 18 seconds left in regulation to beat Northeastern.
-A game was won in double OT on a shot that went through the net.
-The Frozen Four will definitely contain Vermont, will very possibly contain Miami, and either Bemidji State or Cornell will be there. I'd say BU must be laughing their butts off, but Vermont beat them 2 out of 3 this year if I'm not mistaken.

What is there to 'love' here? It all adds up to one crappy Frozen Four that no one cares about.
