What kind of a D-Bag would leave his job as head coach at his alma mater for a little more money? Who lies to the media and his fans?
What a sack of trash.

Hiding their heads in the sand of course. They rail on RR about leaving his alma mater after 6 years but not a peep about Matta who left after 2. I really wouldn't be suprised if he leaves now for UK.

Matta is not going anywhere. Kentucky wants to make a bigger splash then that. Plus Thad already has several commits for the 2010-2011 season which should give him one of the top classes in the nation.

great nut, thads recruiting 1 and 2 year players , that dont give twosshits about ohio state ,otherwise your coach would figure out how to keep them , thad needs to look elsewhere for a job, i mean he just might be the next larry brown. what a freekin joke thad is, he is a disgrace to the coaching profession.

Dickyleach,
Every team that is good is going through this 1 and 2 year player thing. You would not know that because Michigan does not get those kind of players and is not a good program. Oklahoma is losing Blake Griffin and possibly their freshman point guard this year. Blake is only a sophmore. This is happening all over the nation - not only at Ohio State. Ever since the NBA changed the rules the elite kids use college as a one or two year minor league.

Again, haven't seen kids doing it at Duke, UNC, Louisville, Kentucky, etc....
You are partially correct in that it has become more prevalent but then again we knew it long before you guys when Webber bolted after 2 years.

Too bad the NBA rule wasn't in place for Lebron to wear the scarlet and gray. Damn!!!!
Think of it. The chosen one playing at the chosen university.

"Every team that is good is going through this 1 and 2 year player thing".
You're right. This happens everywhere, just nowhere nearly as bad as what's happening at TUOS. Matta is looking for a certain type of player and is getting them. The only problem is that TUOS is about to start losing scholarships because it's happening so much (google it if you don't believe me). Now that is what I call long term program building. Matta will field a good "product" but after a few years he will be forced to take a new job where he can remove himself from the disaster that will be TUOS basketball and start over. You've lost 5 or 6 players in the past few years. That's a disgrace.

I forgot all about the NCAA rule about graduation rates. With as many early entries as TUOS has been getting that's certainly going to bite them.

the fans of ohio state are already moaning and groaning about matta and his recruiting practices, the program is stagnent and matta doesnt know how to handle these 1 year wonders that he is recruiting, before you know it the osu alum will be calling for his head , the program will never be anything more then a wanna be program but will never achieve the star status , the guy they screwed over was jim obrion , to bad because he was a quality coach, matta is a gypsy waiting to happen,
