Congrats to Sparty

for making it this far into the tournament. They've represented the Big10 very well thus far and hopefully they'll show up this time against UNC. Feels good to have a team from the state of Michigan (even though they're little brother) go at it and take out some of the top dogs in the NCAA. Here's to Michigan and Beilein reaching this level in the near future.

NO doubt about it - Sparty has looked tough in their last two games. I especially like Calhoun's comments about Sparty being "special" - or "very close to special" - and that the team is different than the regular season squad because of injuries, etc.

One of my hopes is that UNC thinks of December - and maybe, just maybe, has their guard down a bit and may be confident of their abilities - perhaps just a little too confident.

Sparty can do this - they may need some help - and, they do need to put in the same effort they have in the last two...

With the tournament being payed in Detroit, the state needing a lift, etc, doesn't it seem that Michigan State is destined to win Monday night? If Michigan State and North Carolina were to play 5 games, Carolina would probably win 4. But in one game, anything can happen.
