I'm watching the game, and was going to post this earlier on the drive hom.

My thought was if Sparty can keep this game in the 70's, their odds are decent, if the score's in the 90's - the odds are low.

The score's 24-11 UNC, and the Green & White's D has got to arrive quickly - Carolina has to cool down, and Sparty's got to try to slow things down - the uptempo game is playing into Carolina's strength.

It ain't over - but, they need to keep it with 14 by halftime to stand a chance, IMO.

your wrong. The B10 is not a punchline, your confused with football. Watching some of the pre game stuff more than once the analysts made a point to mention the B10's record in the NCAA tournament and its successes. No one expected MSU to win. This isnt UOS Vs. Florida, this isnt an embarrassing loss because FYS wasnt supposed to win. They did what they where supposed to do, lose handily.

The comments I heard made more often today then any other where of the Big East. Experts and analysts saying the Big East needs to get over itself and realize its not the greatest conference on earth. The fact that FYS made it to the final is a testament to the B10 not a detriment

Let's see.... 'Little Brother' beat UConn, UM didn't, 'Little Brother' beat Louisville, could UM. UM made the National Championship Game, the big east did not. I would say MSU did good for the Big Ten...

MSU deserved to be there because they won their playoff games, period. Laying an egg is a different matter, though the talent differential was pretty evident. If MSU didn't let UNC run away in the beginning they would have had a chance, the lead pretty much hovered around 20 pts for a large part of the game. Oh well.

That's probably one of the dumbest comments I've seen on here in a while. Who wouldn't want to play in the title game, knock off two straight Number 1s and the defending national champions twice in one season??? Besides UNC would have run the train on anyone the way they've been playing. They were supposed to win it all this year, four of their starters returned just to win an NCAA Title.

At least we had a chance to win it all, this year's UNC team is probably one of the best college teams ever. What other team do you think would have been able to beat them?

Pitt, Duke-lost to Nova

Kansas, Louisville, and Uconn were all beaten by MSU.

Not too many left after that, by the way, UNC would have beaten any of these teams. I say, congrats to them, I may not like them, but I respect them.

Absolutely disagree. Anytime you have a playoff and make the NC game, you deserve to be there because it has been settled on the court, no matter how bad the final showing.

Now, with the BCS title game, thats a different beast.

The fact is Sparty was supposed to lose and they did. Getting to the Finals was a great accomplishment considering the road that they had to go through but I am glad that FYS lost. The average Sparty fan has an inflated ego as it is. God forbid they had actually won the title game! Then it would have been impossible to shut them up.

If anyone here has been listening to "The Michigan Insider" on WTKA then you have heard Mike Taylors rant. I agree with MT all the way. Being born and raised in Ohio I have seen first hand the Buckeye fan base and their fairweather attitudes. I can remember growing up in the 90s. At that time UOS was a good team but they just couldnt beat Michigan. I dont ever remember seeing a whole lot of red anywhere. There where some fans here and there but for the most part the fans werent loud and proud of their team. Yet when UOS won the 2002 NC all of a sudden the red started flowing. Everywhere and in all kinds the fans showed up. For years it had never been like that and after 1 great season everyone started jumping on the bandwagon. I see the same thing with Sparty. A lot of Fair weather fans that only get on the bandwagon when the gettins good.

I will always be out there. Win or lose I will always support my team. I dont want to be known as fair weather. After the App State game I wore my Michigan stuff with pride. I got a lot of shit for it but they couldnt doubt that I am a true fan and they never will.

haven't you 2 learned yet that the media is just out looking for reasons to keep bashing the Big Ten?

I'll agree with that in football, but as most people have learned this year in basketball, you can't really make that argument. Sure the Big East had 3 Number 1's but none of them made the title game. In fact NO Big East Teams did.

What I can only hope happens because of this is that no conference will get 3 #1's again or that everyone will be a little less biased one way or another. It's more embarrassing for them when two of those #1's lose to the same "offensively challenged" team in back-to-back games.
