BigHouse,

If it's Tiger against the field, I'll pick the field this year. Tiger's always impressive - and I think someone posted in another thread about his mental toughness - and it's definitely something I agree with.

I don't think that Immelman will repeat, but I do think that there are a few other golfers that will give it a run for the money - Henrik Stenson might be one, Paul Casey might be another.

I just hope it's tight and that Sunday afternoon will be some good, exciting golf.

Bluefan,

What I meant is that I hope it's a tight race - essentially, very competitive. I don't care who wins, I just don't want it to be a runaway...

I know. I was just being a smart ass. I was unaware golf could be exciting unless you're actually playing it at the time. I don't mind playing golf but I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a broken beer bottle than watch even a single stroke on TV.

For the most part, I agree with you. However, the exception I do make is the majors. And, particularly, the weekeends of the majors. Enjoy!

I don't mind seeing TW win just for the simple reason he keeps in shape. Watching those 3 fat pigs in the playoff just made me laugh and confirmed my belief that golf is bowling for the country club set.

I'd assume that you also admire Adam Scott and Greg Norman for their wonderful physiques as well. And, perhaps you also admire the upper body strength (those fine pipes) that Phil Mickelson's developed over the last year or so. Personally, I watch their game and what they're able to do with the golf ball.

I don't have anything against Tiger - when he's "on", his swing and mental toughness are incomparable. I do think that Hank Haney has incorporated some changes into his swing that - though my viewing - have Tiger coming out of his swing just a bit earlier.
