Another example of how out of touch republicans are and how their claims of being tough on crime and terrorists are nothing but empty words.

As the article says, it has nothing to do with the 2nd amendment but everything to do with closing the gun show loophole.

funny article on two levels:

60 Minutes runs their little hit piece the same week Bloomberg gets in on the act - all of which is geared to affect the Virginia gubenatorial election. Amazing similarity to 60 Minutes running weekly segments on people who wrote anti-Bush/GOP books in the lead-up to the 04 and 06 elections. Sort of like how ever since we turned the tide in Iraq we stopped seeing body count stories on the network news or in newspapers. I suppose I'll never learn when the 500th, or 1,000th dead service personnel milestone is reached under Obama, but I'm guessing Stephanopulous will be doing a piece on the gun laws soon.

It's also funny to read liberals having their undies in a twist over a state enacting a law that serves as a loophole around a federal law. I must have forgotten their hue and cry about California legalizing weed for (cough, cough) medicinal puposes. I guess state rights go out the window when the federal law serves your interests.

For the record, I think the loophole should be closed.
