Looks like Dantonio and the Michigan State AD have added West Virginia and Alabama to their future schedules. Interesting why they would choose West Virginia, strange choice to me for some reason. Not sure if there's something more to look at since RR used to coach there. Maybe Dantonios trying to stir up some different elements to make our rivalry with them even more intense. Anyways here's the link. (Then again, these could of been set up a while ago, I'm not that much of an expert on how these OOC schedule things go.) I'll give them some credit for scheduling Bama though, they'll be a major force by that time especially.

I don't really think they chose WVU because RichRod coached there, I think its more of the fact that its one of the top programs in the Big East. That's just my opinion though.

Alabama though, might have a little to do with Saban, but who knows if he'll even be there in 7 years when we play them! That guy gets around like the clap.

I think it's probably a recruiting tool.

East Lansing isn't exactly a destination city, and State will never reach the status of Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, or Notre Dame in the Midwest.

Dantonio is trying to distinguish his program from the others in their tier - Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Purdue, Iowa, Cincinnati, Louisville, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa State, Northwestern, and Illinois - the other BCS schools vying for the next best talent in the midwest.

Sure you say this in pure ignorance. MSU has a very storied and big program. Look back to the 1950-1970's, those were the golden age. The Notre Dame 10-10 tie? Seriously.... MSU get to the Height of UM? UM is no longer a story, but a book with a bad ending. UM is drafting basketball players to the football team.

Your ignorance is overwhelming. Basketball players playing for the football team is nothing new, many schools do it. At least they're not recruiting a cheerleader like a certain other school.

from 1938-1983 - 45 years - i see 4 bowl appearances. I'm sorry for my oversight of the storied Spartan tradition.

So you're admitting that WVU, a program that RR rebuilt and still uses his O scheme, will beat one of the top 4 teams in the B10? I thought the Big East was weak?

These are good games for MSU and the Big Ten. I get tired of BCS schools scheduling D2 teams.

Plus I glad to see an SEC team come north. That very seldom happens, hoepfully it will be later in the season.
