View Full Version : Will the Lions get a W?

The odds are stacked against any team going 0-16, but if anyone can do it, it is the Lions! I think everyone thinks this week is their best chance but it should be interesting to see what new ways of losing they have come up with since Thanksgiving.

No.
Their only shot would be if they played a team that had already secured a spot in the playoffs, and was sending out their 2nd string to prevent getting injured.
Unfortunately for the lions, their final 4 games don't fit that profile.

I hope they don't win all year.
I think they need another WR in the first round.

At least they have several picks early on in the upcoming draft, which is supposed to be one of the most talent laden ever.
The Lions have always been a joke to me. If I were to watch a team it would be the Packers since their decent and closer to home.

The only "W" the Lions get is when they say "We Surrender".

They've been drafting pretty high the last couple of years, but they seem to keep getting worse and worse. Seriously, anyone of us could probably make a better manager than what the Lions have had in place. Ford just needs to get rid of the team and move on. Obviously he doesn't care that much about them.

Plenty of opportunities to win today but they just continue to show why they are the Lions. Crack open those history books.

The best part is that they are going to draft a QB ( Stafford more then likley) and he will tank just like everyone else does in DET. Detroit: where good talent goes to die.

I hate the #1 pick in the NFL. Guys are always holding out and you end up paying them these crazy contracts when they haven't done shit. Long was a great move last year by the Dolphins, but I don't see a Bill Parcells in our front office.

The Lions are doomed to be failures as long as the senile Bill Ford has control of this team. He announced after getting blown out yesterday that Lewand and Co. are expected to return to run the organization. So that means marinelli and his crappy staff are going to return next year to make a run at back to back no win seasons. Mayhew and Lewand have no business trying to evaluate talent or free agents becasue look at the group of a**holes they brought in the last few years with Millen. Every loser and backup on Tampa's bench and practice squad douche bag Marinelli wanted to play for him they signed and now look at them. No talent, old and washed up best explains what has happened. Instead of building a defense (becasue defense wins championships) they will draft offense as usual in the first round and then hope to find starters in the later rounds for defense. This has been the m.o. since the early 90's. They might want to bring back Wayne Fontes at least he got them to the playoffs once in a while.

Do you see the NFL stepping in and limiting the rookie contracts? If so, when. I agree, why pay these kids that haven't proven anything all that cash, when you have proven players making less?

The lions are in such a state of disrespect in the league that green bay went for it on 4th and 12 on the first drive of the game. They didn't make it, but they took it in stride.
I can't imagine anyone in a position of power with the lions making the case why they should stay. 0-15 in the NFL is failure on every level, not just one.

Congrats to the 0-16 Detroit Lions. I guess teams do take after their owners. Here-here for rock-bottom.
