Uniform Combinations

So I was browsing the scout forums and came across a thread on potential uniform combo's. Now for the record I'm a traditionalist when it comes to uniforms, but I thought I'd post these for the sake of discussion.

These were all posted by SuperStudSteve on THIS TOPIC (http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=162&f=2019&t=3537309&p=3). What do you think? It would be interesting to see what an all blue combo would look like to.

I wouldn't mind seeing the all white away uni coming back for special occasions. If I'm not mistaken that used to be the old away uniform.

Personally, I don't like any of those combinations. They just look wrong, changing Michigan's uniforms would be like Penn State or Notre Dame changing theirs. They've pretty much been the same for over 40 years.

I agree though, all Maize looks terrible.

Yeah, I'll agree with everyone in that tradition is nice. I do, however, like the blue pant/white jersey combo in the first pic.

I'm not a fan of the all white, but UM has worn them before, so it wouldn't be breaking tradition completely.

When it comes ot the uni's I say stick with tradition as well. But of the 4 pictures the one on the far left is most acceptable. The other 3 are just <BARF>.

I say you don't mess with the tradition of the home uniform. However, the away jerseys have always gone under "tweaks". I don't necessarily love the maize and white away uniform, so I wouldn't be pissed if they went to a blue pant for a couple games. I don't want a permanent change, but I think if you could see the entire team in blue/white, you'd like it.

On a side note, RR isn't going to do anything this year to the uniforms. That's all he needs is more people pissed off at him even more. I can hear the uproar now. However, we start winning some games, all that goes away.

All blue with a mostly blue helmet is to much blue. I like the all white with the blue and yellow as contrast.

I do like the blue pants with the maize jersey...I would say that combination would only come out on special occasions like ND and their green jerseys or Georgia and their black jerseys.

Definitely stick to what we have now, I really like the away jerseys!!!

I agree gb21, stick with what we have. Bring the blue pants for rivalry games, etc... Those white pants are horrible.

Please, no. Don't waste your time. Solid colors for all three (helmet, jersey, pant) looks terrible, imo.

Not too many other schools have yellow pants. It's recognizable and I like it.

If they start going with night games after the renovation is complete, it might be nice to have a 3rd Jersey set for those games. The maize and blue might look good at night.

These somewhat resemble West Virginia and I don't really like it. We went with Adidas which is gross in a way please do not change the colors.

I think the Adidas uniforms look fine! They didn't change them that much from last year, so it wasn't a complete turn-around in uniforms. I'm just mad that they changed brands so quickly from the newer Nike uniforms to the Adidas uniforms. I got a white Nike Henne jersey and a blue Nike Hart jersey, now I'm gonna have to switch to Adidas. Just waiting on some different numbers to be released; like a Forcier or Beaver jersey :) I believe all they have now is #1 (Nobody) and #4 (Minor)....

Take the names off the unis. Return to giving out little footballs for the helmts. Love the Bo Era unis the best--even the all white aways with the M onthe shoulder.

I like the clean look as well. Stickers can be a great tradition, but do we really need stickers for reward and motivation? My first grader loves them, maybe there isn't much difference in the maturity of 18-20 year olds. Also think it kinda under emphasizes the value of line play in favor of the skill positions.

I'd have to agree - those unis are fantastic. And, the helmet isn't going anywhere - anytime - it's a permanent fixture in sport.
