Anyone up for a new banner? Or, should the new banner wait until September?

Here's what I've been tinkering around with. It's more of a tribute to the '09 season and not the program. I like it because it's change. I can't hardly go 6 months with the same cell phone; I get bored of it. Needless to say, the current banner has lost luster for me.

Here's a suggestion. It needs to be updated daily though.

Obviously, you haven't updated it. Then again, I figure you didn't actually make the banner, you just stole it, and are trolling around with it. Now, if you actually designed it, I'd give you some props for a decent job done.

You guys (tuos fans) are really building up what will be pure enjoyment for me when UM beats tuos in '09. I can't wait to hear your excuses. Keep building up tuos and bashing UM, it'll only make it sweeter.

I love how tiny that tUO$ logo is relative to the M logo. It may be a billion days, but inherent insecurities and inferiority complexes show up in subtle ways...

Also, great banners tpilews, though the years are a bit hard to read on the second one.

You're right, I stole it from Lamar Outdoor. This outdoor bulletin was posted in Detroit to commemorate the occasion. Ha ha!!!

How do you become a "Friend of Woody", by punching a student athlete in the face?

Im up for a change of the guard. I like the picture of Graham holding up the ball. Hopefully something we will see plenty of this year

Ha ha!!

UM just took it up the ass again. This time in AA's backyard downtown Detroit of all places. Guess the outdoor companies in Detroit are willing to whore themselves for a buck. You guys are bent over and owned by Tress so bad, it's almost too easy.

tUOS should quit wasting its money on silly signs and put the money toward their athletic department, which is losing money. Maybe you could hire a professor or two from the UofM business school to consult with tUOS and explain basic economic theories..

I'm up for the change (as long as it is not obama change LOL). I like that the new banner includes Mr. Tate Forcier. I think an appropriate time to change would be around august when practice starts, that way we don't get burnt out on it again, but that whatever the majority wants. just my .02. Go Blue!

Hey knuckle-head, friendsofwoody.com has no affiliation with tOSU.

As far as the tOSU athletic budget is concerned, when you are running the largest program in the country with a $110 million dollar annual budget, falling a couple hundred thousand dollars short of projections in this economy is pocket change and the difference is easily made up. Compare that to a $2.8 million dollar loss posted by the UM athletic department a few years ago.

I actually thought that a group calling itself "Friends of Woody" was probably a gay men's organization.

It is hilarious that a program that is at its peak, tUOS, is losing money, while UM, in the throes of rebuilding, is making money (yeah, I know that athletic departments are more than just football, but football is obviously the big money making sport).

"Throes of re-building"? Attempting to raise the Titanic would be a better analogy. 3-9, now that's hilarious!

I'm sure you were extremely disappointed when you checked out the group's site and found out that it's not gay.

Regarding the banner - I prefer #2, and agree we should probably wait until August to put it up... since that's when a lot more chatter's going to happen.

And, Don - that's a great pic you've got there in your profile. I just want to make sure that I know the school that this talent has committed to - did he really say "the University of Ohio State"? If so, where is that school... I doubt anyone will ever question his SAT score...

This is really old guys. I didn't realize there were still special ed students out there who didn't get the message. He did it as a pun, as if to get Michigan fans’ hopes up. There were only two schools to consider at that point: UofM and tOSU. Pryor was throwing you guys a curveball by saying “University of…”. I can hold your hands and walk you through anything else if you want.

I wonder if anyone up north is considering changing the fight song? "Hail to the victors" is, well, just silly. GO BUCKS

Nice revisionism there, Don. Pryor can't throw a spiral, let alone a curveball. He honestly thought it was the University of Ohio State, and if he said otherwise afterwards it was backpedaling due to being embarrassed in not knowing something that basic.

The kid is a great scrambler, an below average passer, and a piss poor thinker.

Don’t get salty on the kid because he shunned UM.

A piss poor thinker? Well, obviously he was smart enough to choose the right school where he will win and have a shot at the NFL. That much he knew.

Anyway, Sour grapes. Even if he truly did screw up his announcement, Terrelle joins some other notable butchers of school names:

Stephon Marbury: “I’m going to the Georgia Tech University” (while sobbing uncontrollably).

Lou Holtz: “The University of the Navy scares me to death.”

Jeff Tedford: “The Cal university” (at his introductory press conference)

Jim Harbaugh: “the University of…the Stanford University” (at his introductory press conference)

Reggie Bush: school?

Desmond Howard: "I'm signin wif Mithigan".

Hahaha, what about when Isiah Thomas got introduced as Isiah Thompson at FIU during his press conference being announced as the new basketball coach. That was classic.

Sour grapes? Salty because he shunned UM? Nothing I saw from TP last year makes me regret his decision. 3 games without a TD, losing big games, crying on the sidelinesm, a weird throwing motion that you seldom see outside of a cricket game. You act like he destroyed UM - him handing off the ball to the RB over and over isn't QB brilliance. He completed 5 passes the entire game.

I've seen more out of Forcier in spring practices - good foot work, great throwing mechanics, football intelligence. I will admit that I did want TP during his recruitment, but after seeing what we missed last year, I feel great about his decision to go to Columbus. Enjoy.

As far as TP choosing the right school to have a "shot at the NFL", please list all of the great QBs that Tressel has sent to the NFL. OK, name 1 QB that has held a starting job. <crickets>. The only way that TP will find his way onto a NFL roster is at WR, he is going to be the next Randle El. tUOS is a QB wasteland.

He was "Freshman of the Year" without having the benefit of playing in the spring, yet you don't regret his decision? How arrogant can you be? In case you forgot, destroying UM doesn't require brilliant QB play. Maybe Tress should have left TP in the game all four quarters and opened up the passing game right? Wasn't 42 points enough for you?

We will enjoy. TP was decisive and had great zip on his throws in the spring game. That's the part of his game that needed the most improvement.

Let's wait until you go live this fall before stroking Forcier. Additionally this kid has serious character flaws. We already heard him whine at the possibility of Greg Paulus showing up. If anyone doubts his character flaws just take a look at his recruiting blog. The kids head is so big and ripe I wonder if he will last before the season starts.

He was choosing between UM and tOSU. Maybe TP would have had a better shot at the NFL playing in RRod's offense? That's laughable.

you're a fucking lying pussy joke, he did NOTHING, NOT A FUCKING THING in the spring game until tressel let him play against the 20th string D where he finally moved the ball. you are fooling no one but your own stupid ass, pussy.
