It's happening. Thanks Obama. The next time we suffer a terrorist attack b/c some Al Qaeda stays mum in his cushy jail cell sipping tea with his ACLU lawyer, we can all feel good about our moral superiorty.

No mention of John McCain and his thoughts regarding this? Imagine that.

You can't argue the stupidity of the action so you find someone else to dredge up who, for sake of argument represents the "right wing" point of view.
You sir, are the king of straw man arguments. I am trying to recall a post where you haven't used it yet.

Same ol' shit. When he knows he's licked, he changes topics, disparages the competition, or tries to make his argument with a "conservative's" quote (whom you usually disagree with anyway). It doesn't work because we think for ourselves instead of following some party talkhead to our own detriment. For future reference, don't ever use a McCain quote again...that guy's a democrat at heart. I don't personally know a single republican that likes him. I do appreciate that he served his country though.

Who said I thought it was a good idea? My only thought is that if you are going to write an article about Obama and his view on an issue it would make sense to include the views of his opponent in the last election that just happened to be a prisoner of war. But can you really expect more of the Weekly Standard? They are nothing but the rights version of Michael Moore.

Why would McCain's views matter now that the election is over?

In the same breath, why does the opinion of Karl Rove, Dick Cheaney, and Newt matter? They are brought from their caves weekly to slam Obama on such issues and aren't even in power anymore. At least McCain is still in power and adds the opinion of being in combat/prisoner of war to the debate.

You have to love the mainstream media. Granted, all my examples here are horrific and unfortunate. I personally think all 3 of these events are sad and evil, but let's see the medias reaction:
An abortion doctor is murdered and all the news shows and papers go on and on about the event for days. Extra Federal guards are dispatched to numerous abortion clinics around the country to strengthen security.
A guard at the Holocaust museum is murdered and the news shows and papers cover every aspect in detail over and over. Federal agents are beefed up at Washington monuments.
BUT:
A military recruiter in Arkansas is killed by an islamic extremist and it ends up on page 44 of the NY Times and barely gets a mention anywhere. Crickets can be heard chirping loudly. No MSM outrage.

For the same reason that former administration players like George Stephasnaslafapolis, Dick Morris, James Carville, etc. all are enthusiastically given jobs / air time on various networks.

James Carville isn't even from this planet.
