I know Marian Hossa had a very tough Stanley Cup Finals, but I don't think he deserves all the blame he is getting. I would really like to see him back in a Red Wings uniform next year as he is one of the best in the game. He fits in nicely with the Wings, great player and very classy. I was just wondering what you guys thought. Resign or not?

When the true injury report comes out, I think we'll be shocked at how nicked up the Wings were, including Hossa. Lidstrom actually had surgery during the course of the Chicago series - this franchise is good at being secretive with the injuries.

I say we keep Hossa, but it depends on how big the salary is. Detroit can't lose a lot of the key role players just to keep this one player.

Wow, I just read about Lidstrom, I have so much respect for him. If any of you don't know about Lidstrom's injury, look it up. Remember, he came back to play in the next series. I don't think any Pittsburgh player would have. The man is a true hockey player and I am so glad he is our captain.

I say try to keep Hossa and Hudler. The Wings can do without Samuelson and Kopecky. Also, I think it is time for Chelios to hang up the skates.

I also see some of the Wings are mad that Crysby didn't come over to the team to shake hands.

Hossa is an excellent player, the only problem I have with his game is no matter the situation he seems to be a "shoot-first" player which really doesn't mesh with the Wings overall team philosophy. More importantly I don't think the Wings should attempt to keep him at his $7 million price tag. Helm and Abdelkader seem to bring a sense of energy to the team when they are out there and I think in the long run, keeping them in the rotation would be better for the club.

It sounds like Hossa will become a free agent. There is a report that he rejected a 10 year deal from the Wings. I'm a little surprised that the Wings would even offer a 10 year deal to him.

He is a Blackhawk now. The last place I wanted him to go, within the division.
