I just thought I'd start this thread for any golf junkies, like me, who are following the Open.

The weather's having an impact. And, I do like that the commentators are talking about how "bad" Tiger's luck is with the weather this year - when, in 2000 - he had the absolute "perfect" timing for his rounds, and nothing was mentioned.

I'm not "anti-Tiger" - he's a force to be reckoned with and his concentration is only rivaled by that of Nicklaus (IMO).

It should make for an interesting Sunday - I'm expecting they'll play 36 tomorrow.

I've edited this on Sunday morning - so, the third round has started, but will resume at noon EDT. I'm willing to be that there will be more coverage of Tiger Woods today than of the top three leaders combined. It's this relentless focus and attention to Tiger that Bob Costas and the media provide that sickens me. I'm curious what will happen...

He's a choke artist. The guy had Kevin Durant and still couldn;t past the round of 16.

I really like the way the USGA has "toughened up" the course. In very soft conditions, they have the 14th hole playing a whopping 127 yards.

And, I've read that the 18th will play 358 yards in the final round.

I have no idea what they are doing - and I'm wondering if THEY have any idea what they are doing.

Three are tied right now at -3, Mickelson, Duval, and Glover. Both Duval and Mickelson would be great stories and it is pretty hard to root against them.

Edit: Mickelson just had a bogey.
