View Full Version : Farewell Everyone

It is with great regret that I must say farell. I may check in form time to time but I have reached a point in my life where there are bigger issues that I need to involve myself in. I won't go into details because since most of you are not Christians you won't understand but suffice it to say that I have work to do and the internet up to this point has been a distraction for me rather than a tool. Today that changes.

I hope everyone enjoys the Christmas season and have a safe and wonderful new year. I look forward to another exciting new year and while I may be into other things never fear that I will forget my Wolverines. Forever true and blue! May things change for the better with UM in the new year in all sports and hopefully we'll see you all before too long even if its only for a short visit.

GO BLUE!!!

Hail to the Victors!

your support for Rrod will be missed on this website. I will pray that everything goes well for you. I am making some changes as well in my path to becoming a better christian as well. Those changes just dont happen to be leaving this site. Good luck to you though. I have throughly enjoyed your opinions that you post.

Every year I go to Honduras on a 12 week Mission trip, so I will be absent from the internet too, in March to May (will miss spring practice)

Ah, the obligatory Farewell Thread...

Dearest 704:

Although I realize that you're not reading this (you've departed, after all ;)), I'm sadly confident that your presence will again grace this discussion board at the same or greater frequency of your past campaign(s), at least if you're left unchallenged in this naked attempt to break the addiction. Therefore, I challenge you to make good on the attempt. Walk away, and don't look back!

Best,

VI

For what its worth I am Christian too. I know advent is going on now but I do not see what Christianity has to do with you leaving the site other than the "disagreements" that sometimes get a little "heated" on this site but everyone is allowed their opinion. Or perhaps you are going to take your computer time and instead do some mission work. Whatever the reason I wish you that best my brother.

God Bless and Go Blue!

I believe it's less about the "heated disagreements," and more about the distraction that takes him away from other more important things that he needs to focus on. It's probably the time spent on the internet in general.

I applaud 704 for re-prioritizing his life. God speed bro!

How come Christains can't look at porn? I always wondered about that.

Most would quote the verse that says, in effect, "if you look at a woman with lust in your heart you have already committed adultery with her".

Meaning looking at porn would = lust in your heart.

But, if THAT woman is your wife and you are lusting? What, if you took some dirty pictures of your wife? Is that lusting?

Without lust--how long could the species survive?

I might try that christyanity stuff if they would just make it easier. You know, allow drugs, booze, hookers, gambling, lusting, murder and junk.

If its your wife, its not lust, since when you become married you are ONE. So you can't lust after yourself, unless you just REALLY have an ego.

I won't respond to the rest since your obviously just making jokes... :)

Funny thing about what you just said, describes Abraham, Isaic and Jacob, David, Noah, Moses, Salamon, Peter, Paul , Judas Iscariot, Mary Magnline, thief on the cross and the woman at the well. So I think maybe if you read the Bible, I think you would find out that it has already been written about. Maybe the reason he is leaving is becasue if he is married, his wife complains he is on the computer to much, maybe he can't pay the internet bill, or maybe he just wants to take a break from the daily grind of coming here. Either way, I'll be here till March, than I'll be gone till Memorial Day

You can't look at the bible as a rule book. It's more like a play book. Every play you're doing something different...some are fun, some are work. But, if you want to win, you better follow the play book and stick with the offensive and defensive strategies.

Prayer is like the strength and conditioning. It takes dedication, and you gotta put the time in. But, the payoff is huge!

Going to Church is like the practices, team meetings and film sessions. Everyone gets on the same page and comes together as a team. You get instruction from your coaches. You can find out what you did wrong last time and figure out ways to correct those mistakes to become a better player.

Game time is when you wake up on Monday morning!

6:00 at my house. Hey Bullet, make sure you bring some good stuff this time. The crap you brought last week made me hurl. And elno...don't you and your wife come naked again. The whole recreation of the garden of Eden was a little over the top man!

Did something happen while I was out of town? I thought this was a football website, not a jump for Jesus website.

Granted, I respect everyone's religious views, and certainly respect the fact the he is taking some time off to deal with issues. Good for him. But for Christ's sake can we move on?

I was down in Columbus, at the hotel where Michigan was staying (this was the year Harbaugh guaranteed a victory), I was in my Cincinnati Reds gear, because Columbus is brutal to Michigan Fans; anyways I'm waiting for Gary and Andy wish them well and Bo looks at me and says "Boy, why in the Hell you wearring Red?" Gary said to Bo, Bo he is studing to be a minister. Bo looked embarrassed, he turns to me and replies"could you say a prayer for us, cause we need all the help we can get today." I said I would. Well Michigan won, and I saw Bo after the game, while we were waiting for ANdy to come out; he turns to me and says thank you for that prayer. I said no problem. Funny thing is, God hasn't heard my prayers the last six years and I've come to the conclusion that if I pray for Michigan to win and someone else prays for Ohio $tate to win, well someone is not gonna get the answer they want. Man, I even prayed to Saint Jude this year and I'm a Lutheran. So next year, I'm thinking of a muslim prayer, because when you think of muslims, you think of the kick butt, cheatting attitude and bombs and what not, and that's just what we need. So next year I'll be a muslim for a day

Not that I'm really religious myself, but I think we are allowed too, just so long as we do not covet (or want) what we see! Haha, one of the ten commandments for you all!

By the way, I'll miss you Wolrin704! You were always one of the nicer ones to me.
